Steven M. Jones left Citigroup recently after a 25-year career in investment banking. Mr. Jones
began his career at Morgan Stanley & Co. in 1981, where he was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions department until departing
to join Salomon Brothers Inc in 1984.
At Salomon Brothers Mr. Jones was a founding member of the High Yield Department. Subsequent to becoming a Managing Director in
1990, Mr. Jones was, for a number of years, the head of Global Leveraged Finance at Salomon Brothers and then Citigroup, following
the Travelers/Citibank merger.
In 2002 Mr. Jones created the Global Loan Portfolio Management group, which was responsible for managing Citigroup's $125 billion
global corporate loan portfolio. In that capacity, Mr. Jones was responsible for the performance of the portfolio and all credit
approval related to it.
In the two years prior to his departure from Citigroup, Mr. Jones ran a newly created Global Structured Credit Products group,
encompassing Citigroup's businesses in the origination, structuring and distribution of collateralized debt obligations and the
structuring and trading of all credit derivative products globally.
Mr. Jones holds an undergraduate mathematics degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in business administration
from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He is married and has three children.
